About the position

The Software Development Engineer for the Serverless Compute Networking team will play a crucial role in the development of the Serverless Compute Fabric (SCF), which serves as the backbone for various serverless applications. This position involves translating business and functional requirements into scalable distributed services, focusing on architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, particularly in Linux and networking, and will be responsible for analyzing data within a distributed network to enhance serverless computing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy highly scalable distributed services.
• Analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources within a distributed network.
• Work directly with customers to understand and guide their needs.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of new and existing systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Strong hands-on ability to write secure, reliable & maintainable code in Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
• Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced development environment.
• Experience with Linux operating system and networking technologies.
• Graduate degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Sciences or related technical field.
