About the position

The Software Development Engineer in Network Capacity Services at AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating AWS global infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team to tackle complex challenges in network technology and supply chain management, ensuring efficient and reliable service delivery to customers. The engineer will lead software development projects from conception to implementation, focusing on innovation and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanisms that help your team deliver results for customers and raise the operational bar.
• Work closely with Network/Systems/Software Engineering teams to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products.
• Assist with deployment and sustaining of networking software tools.
• Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes.
• Collaborate with highest tier escalation engineers/resolvers.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers to deliver best-in-class services.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
