About the position

The Prime Video Sports team is seeking talented engineers to revolutionize the way customers enjoy live sports. This role involves building and operating scalable systems using the latest AWS technologies, collaborating with a diverse team of software engineers, and contributing to innovative devices and services that enhance the live streaming experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to develop, design, and bring to market innovative devices and services.
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
• Design and develop large scale highly distributed, high performance and low latency systems with exposure to cutting edge technologies at incredible scale and speed.
• Build distributed systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
• Mentor and grow new and junior team members while technically delivering results.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
