About the position

The Amazon Workforce Solutions Analytics and Technology (WSAT) team is seeking a strong software development engineer to drive automation in the Talent Acquisition space. This role involves designing and implementing scalable, resilient systems that enhance the acquisition and management of talent through technological innovations. The engineer will work in a start-up-like environment, focusing on building customer-facing products and mentoring junior engineers while ensuring high-quality software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Build a customer-facing product across the whole software development life cycle from ground-up.
• Design and build distributed systems, including front-end applications and backend services that can scale to millions of requests.
• Provide thought leadership on engineering best practices.
• Mentor team members and support their professional growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, machine learning scientists, product managers, and other software engineers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
