About the position

The Manager for the System Architecture & Pro Workflow teams at Apple will lead a dedicated group focused on developing and deploying software tools and infrastructure support to enhance Apple products across various platforms. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, project management, and the application of engineering best practices to drive team success and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver system architecture tools and features, resource planning, and development schedules.
• Define and deliver IT services across three physical sites on the West Coast supporting two different groups.
• Advise and encourage engineering best practices to deliver quality capabilities.
• Define and grow a diverse and extraordinary Engineering Team.

Requirements

• Proven record as a Software Engineering Manager for at least 5 years leading a team including System Admin, Systems engineers, and DevOps Engineers.
• Ability to lead multiple projects under driven time constraints to achieve meaningful results.
• Ability to mentor and develop your team, lead with software and engineering excellence, and maintain a dedication towards meeting the needs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in development and deployment of software tools supporting internal groups.
• Experience with server room administration, provisioning, and service vendor management.
• Proficiency and passion to independently learn new technologies and software frameworks to leverage.
• Experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD systems.
• Experience with system architecture, performance, and modeling tools.
• Experience leading services across multiple physical sites.
