About the position

HCSS is seeking Software Development Interns for Spring 2025 to join our Development Teams. This paid internship offers an opportunity to gain in-depth skills in our tech stack while contributing to product teams to deliver high-quality software applications. Interns will be mentored and evaluated by experienced engineers, fostering a collaborative culture focused on teamwork and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Gaining exposure to C#, JavaScript, React, HTML, and AWS/Azure.
• Being mentored and having work evaluated by the Team's Principal Engineer(s).
• Participating in pair programming, requirements gathering, code reviews, and self-learning new technologies.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.
• Detail-oriented, problem solver, and logical thinker.
• Ability to commute to the office during the internship.

Nice-to-haves

• Currently in a University Program, preferably Computer Science.
• Familiarity with .NET, React, C#, MVC, Web Services, SQL Server, JavaScript/Typescript, HTML, or CSS.
• Exposure to Microsoft Visual Studio (.NET or later versions).
• Experience with source control tools (i.e., git or TFS).
• Exposure to agile development and processes.
