In this role, you will lead a team responsible for managing a critical service that the AWS Field utilizes to deliver hands-on engagements to AWS Customers and Partners. This service is essential for providing high-quality, scalable, and secure experiences, and the demand for it is consistently growing. As a Software Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your problem-solving skills at scale and effectively own a service that is a dependency for other teams. You will work closely with a diverse and talented team of engineers and product managers to ideate, build, operate, and scale impactful customer-facing features across the full product development lifecycle. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a strong team culture and ensuring the operational health of your team's software. You will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing teams of software engineers, while also interfacing with product managers and internal customers to understand requirements and set priorities. Your role will involve managing the agile development process to deliver technical requirements on time and with high precision and quality. You will coordinate with stakeholders across multiple organizations to drive alignment on shared goals and initiatives, make long-term organizational and architectural decisions, and help develop business and technology strategies. Your passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and your ability to operate independently will be key to your success in this position. The team you will lead builds tools and services that allow the AWS field to securely and efficiently deliver technical content and hands-on events to customers. You will collaborate with AWS Event Marketing to support large events such as re:Invent, re:Inforce, and Summits, as well as other internal teams to enhance technical content creation. Our team is primarily based in Texas, but we welcome individuals from various locations and backgrounds to help us improve and continue delivering an outstanding experience for both internal and external customers.
