Amazon's Traffic Engineering team is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead the OPF (Open Proxy Framework) teams. OPF serves as a reverse proxy that facilitates the migration of rendering frameworks and has evolved into a trusted solution for over 2400 Amazon websites, managing incoming traffic from the public internet to various Amazon services and subsidiaries, including retail and non-retail websites, Alexa, Music, and more. The OPF processes an astounding 20 trillion requests monthly, making it a critical component of Amazon's infrastructure. In this role, you will lead a passionate team of engineers dedicated to modernizing and managing internet connectivity for Amazon's Stores, Digital, and Other (SDO) websites in a secure manner. The team is also responsible for building AERO, a next-generation internet ingress solution for SDO/Amazon. Your leadership will be pivotal in innovating and modernizing the technology stack for the AERO platform, enhancing Amazon's defenses against malicious internet attacks while ensuring a seamless customer experience. You will collaborate with various teams and business partners to identify new methods for rendering and serving Amazon product pages, ultimately improving the speed and efficiency of the Amazon website. Your team will develop software, self-service tools, and automation solutions to simplify the management of secure connectivity from the edge to the backend for both Amazon and its customers.
