About the position

The Software Development Manager for Web/Mobile Apps at TAA Solutions LLC is responsible for overseeing project management activities related to web and mobile application development. This role involves coordinating project teams, managing deliverables, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while applying best practices in project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project team activities with other teams and senior management.
• Communicate with sponsoring organizations to assist in needs assessment and functional specifications.
• Draft specifications and develop work plan definitions.
• Manage tasks, overall deliverables, and status tracking.
• Apply best practices and agile project management methodologies appropriate to the project scope.
• Develop and manage the project schedule using MS Project.
• Provide status reports and modify schedules or plans as required.
• Prepare project reports for management, clients, and others.
• Confer with project team members to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
• Hold regular project meetings with stakeholders to monitor progress and communicate actions required.
• Proactively solve problems to ensure milestones are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct and evaluate post-mortems to improve future projects.
• Manage project issues, revise plans as necessary, and communicate changes to project team members.
• Maintain close contact with project sponsors to ensure shared vision, stakeholder buy-in, and project support.
• Successfully complete mandatory WMATA security awareness training on an annual basis.
• Review and assist with system hardening and vulnerability remediation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 5 years of Project Management experience for Web and Mobile app projects.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and leadership in Information Technology.
