About the position

The Software Development Team Lead at Cadence Bank is responsible for providing operational leadership for the team that manages the procurement, development, deployment, operation, and maintenance of all business software applications. This role is crucial for supporting the bank's enterprise functions and individual business units, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, and enhancing software application performance. The position requires collaboration with various teams to align technology strategies with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Procures, tests, deploys, and operates third-party software applications to support enterprise functions and individual business units.
  • Establishes, monitors, and reports compliance with Service Level Agreements and customer-impacting defect thresholds.
  • Develops low-scale, limited-purpose internal applications, file movement utilities, and low-scale middleware integration layers using the .NET platform.
  • Provides proactive support such as patching and upgrades for applications.
  • Maintains and operates the Business Managed Information Technology (BMIT) program to enforce technical standards and provide operational support.
  • Operates the application Problem Management process to improve service and stability.
  • Creates and maintains standards for programming, software engineering, deployment, maintenance, and application support activities.
  • Defines and executes test scripts for new, modified, and existing software applications.
  • Collaborates with Technology Strategy and Architecture to develop application portfolio and strategic technical direction.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of financial services technology experience with emphasis on full life cycle software application management.
  • Proficiency with .NET stack, Angular, Azure DevOps, Microservices, and Agile Environment.
  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Business or similar discipline.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience building and leading high performing direct and virtual teams across multiple locations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ITIL and COBIT standards.
  • Familiarity with OCC regulations.
