About the position

As part of our commitment to quality, we are looking for talented individuals to join us for a Software Development Test Engineer Internship in 2025. This internship will provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths within the realm of software development and quality assurance. The internship program runs for 12 weeks, starting in May/June 2025, and successful candidates will be expected to commit to one of the specified start dates. The team you will be joining is responsible for ensuring the quality of TikTok's content safety, which includes video safety and user safety. Interns will work closely with Research and Development peers to ensure that project quality meets functional and user experience standards. This role involves continuous tracking and analysis of quality issues, recommending insights, and developing improvement plans in collaboration with peers to enhance overall quality performance. Additionally, interns will collaborate with automation and stability QA teams to improve internal tools, frameworks, and platforms, thereby increasing team productivity. Responsibilities

• Work closely with RD peers to ensure project quality that meets functional and user experience standards and expectations.
• Continuously track and analyze quality issues, recommend insights, develop improvement plans, and collaborate with peers to improve quality performance.
• Collaborate with automation/stability QA teams to enhance internal tools/frameworks/platforms to make the team more productive.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Graduate in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during the Summer of 2025.
• Ability to think critically and to formulate solutions to problems in a clear and concise way.
• Strong communication and excellent teamwork skills; being agile and a self-starter.
