About the position

The Software Development Tester II at JT4, LLC is responsible for testing and interpreting telemetry data, developing automated testing scripts, and executing integration tests in compliance with government regulations. This role involves collaborating with teams to design system/software documentation, conducting design reviews, and providing technical guidance to solve complex problems. The position requires proficiency in various programming languages and automated testing frameworks, contributing to the maintenance and sustainment of software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Test and interpret telemetry data.
  • Develop automated testing scripts and programs.
  • Create and analyze post-test reports.
  • Develop and execute integration tests adhering to government regulations.
  • Assist in the design of system/software and associated documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and plan & execute unit, integration, and system testing.
  • Interpret customer requirements and create milestone presentations.
  • Advise team on technical issues and develop solutions to technical problems.
  • Assist in maintenance and sustainment activities of system/software and document design implementation.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline with 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree in an associated discipline.
  • Solid coding proficiency in C++, Python, and Linux shell.
  • Experience with computer-based systems and applications.
  • Familiarity with industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniques.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering and software development lifecycles.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with DevOps tools and DoD documentation standards using Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Crucible, Bamboo, GitLab, Jama, or similar.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript-based development frameworks such as React, Vue, Electron, Svelte, or similar.
  • Experience with test frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Mocha, WebdriverIO, or similar.
