About the position
The Software DevSecOps Engineer position focuses on enhancing the security and efficiency of development and production environments. The role involves building and managing CI/CD pipelines, deploying containerized applications, and automating infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The engineer will also ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) practices in cloud and deployment environments, requiring a strong background in both development and security practices.
Responsibilities
- Harden infrastructure for development and production environments.
- Build and operate continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines (CI/CD).
- Deploy containerized applications with a container orchestration tool.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for infrastructure automation.
- Integrate with DoD practices for cloud and deployment environments.
Requirements
- Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines or other CI/CD platforms (GitLab, Jenkins).
- Implementing DevSecOps practices within the DoD environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with .NET environments (.vbproj, .csproj) with InstallShield.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure Automation Tools (HashiCorp Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with Linux Environments (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, RHEL 9).
- Experience with Windows Environments (Windows Server, Windows 10/11).
- Knowledge of Government Cloud Environments (AWS).
- Experience with Container Orchestration Tools (Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift) and container software (Docker, Podman).
- Experience with Security Tool Usage and Implementation for SAST, DAST, and SCA (Fortify, JFrog XRay).
- Proficiency in Git Version Control.
- Agile Development Experience.
