About the position

The Software DevSecOps Engineer position focuses on enhancing the security and efficiency of development and production environments. The role involves building and managing CI/CD pipelines, deploying containerized applications, and automating infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The engineer will also integrate Department of Defense (DoD) practices into cloud and deployment environments, ensuring compliance and security throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Harden infrastructure for development and production environments.
• Build and operate continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines (CI/CD).
• Deploy containerized applications with a container orchestration tool.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for infrastructure automation.
• Integrate with DoD practices for cloud and deployment environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines or other CI/CD platforms (GitLab, Jenkins).
• Implementing DevSecOps practices within the DoD environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with .NET environments (.vbproj, .csproj) with InstallShield.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure Automation Tools (HashiCorp Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with Linux Environments (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, RHEL 9).
• Experience with Windows Environments (Windows Server, Windows 10/11).
• Knowledge of Government Cloud Environments (AWS).
• Experience with Container Orchestration Tools (Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift) and container software (Docker, Podman).
• Experience with Security Tool Usage and Implementation for SAST, DAST, and SCA (Fortify, JFrog XRay).
• Proficiency in Git Version Control.
• Agile Development Experience.
