About the position

Enlighten is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. This role involves close collaboration with other engineers to create software solutions that meet client needs, specifically supporting USARPAC on-site. The position emphasizes the importance of communication skills for regular interaction with customers and offers opportunities to work with modern tools and technologies in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems.
• Collaborate with other engineers to create software solutions that meet client needs.
• Support USARPAC on customer site 100% of the time.
• Maintain strong communication with customers on a regular basis.
• Troubleshoot software issues and work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
• Participate in the agile software lifecycle.

Requirements

• Current U.S. Government Secret level security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering with Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava).
• Experience in designing enterprise APIs and RESTful web services.
• Experience in Microservices architecture and Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms.
• Experience with the agile software lifecycle and Linux operating system.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven).
• Strong communication skills for daily customer interaction.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Experience in distributed databases, NoSQL databases, and full text-search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr).
• Scripting experience is a plus.
• Prior experience or familiarity with Big Data Platform is a plus.
• Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and standard software development tool suites (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise).
