About The Position

The Software Engineer 3 - 3D Pipeline at Nike is a pivotal role within the CP&I team, focusing on the development and maintenance of 3D pipelines and tools that enhance product design and innovation. Requirements

• Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or related technical subject area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in 3D pipeline development and tool creation, ideally in a product design or visualization environment.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or other relevant programming languages.
• Strong understanding of 3D graphics principles, animation, visualization technologies, and real-time rendering.
• Experience with 3D software packages (Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, Blender) and game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity).
• Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems and software development best practices.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a passion for technical excellence.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in the footwear or apparel industry.
• Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain efficient, robust, and scalable 3D pipelines that integrate with existing design and production workflows.
• Create custom tools and scripts to automate repetitive tasks and optimize processes for designers and engineers.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to 3D pipelines, tools, and data management.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective 3D solutions.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in 3D graphics and visualization for product innovation.
• Develop clear and concise documentation for 3D pipelines, tools, and processes.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
