About the position

The Software Engineer 4 position at American Cybersystems, Inc. is a contract role focused on Identity and Access Management (IAM). The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in IAM, particularly with tools like ForgeRock or Ping, and will be responsible for maintaining and developing systems that ensure secure access to resources. The role requires proficiency in Java and AWS services, and candidates should be prepared for a technical interview process that includes coding and IAM-related questions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Identity and Access Management systems.
• Utilize AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, and API Gateway for system design.
• Implement and troubleshoot IAM protocols and tools, preferably ForgeRock or Ping.
• Write and maintain Java code for enterprise-level applications.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Identity and Access Management.
• Proficient in Java, Spring & Spring Boot, SQL, and Junit.
• Experience with AWS services, specifically ECS, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Strong problem-solving, analysis, and troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Splunk and frontend development.
• Knowledge of Continuous Deployment/Integration practices.
• AWS professional certification is preferred.
