About the position

As a Software Engineer specializing in AI Applications at Zoom, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing web-based and AI-embedded applications. This role involves close collaboration with various teams to enhance Zoom's product offerings, focusing primarily on back-end development while also engaging with front-end components. You will work on cutting-edge AI technologies to create user-friendly applications that cater to diverse customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, implement and ship new features and applications.
• Ensure software reliability and quality by participating in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
• Implement AI solutions to solve complex problems.
• Integrate AI services and algorithms into applications.
• Work on backend services and databases, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and improve product quality.
• Document code, algorithms, and technical processes for internal and external reference.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, or C++.
• Experience with AI applications, integrations, and prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud services, database management, and web technologies.
• Experience in developing and managing high-traffic web applications.
• Experience with RDBMS, such as MySQL, and NoSQL.
• Experience in designing backend APIs, database schemas, and backend microservices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with large language models (LLM) and automatic speech recognition (ASR).
• Knowledge of image processing techniques.
