About the position

The position involves building Data Governance solutions for AI Personalization at PayPal, aimed at enhancing the checkout experience for over 400 million consumers and 30 million merchants globally. The role focuses on developing platforms that ensure data accuracy, compliance, and accessibility, while providing a best-in-class experience for developers. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to create user-friendly features and maintain high standards of data reliability and quality.

Responsibilities

• Build both frontend and backend systems for the Data Allowance Manager.
• Provide governed datasets to Machine Learning Teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to create user-friendly features.
• Participate in architecture discussions and provide code feedback.
• Lead by example and mentor other engineers.
• Innovate through rapid prototyping and iterative development.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in building full-stack applications.
• Hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, NoSQL, React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services like Microsoft Azure and GCP.
• Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with diverse engineering teams.
• Proficiency in writing clean, efficient code, conducting code reviews, and ensuring high standards of quality and maintainability.
