About the position

The New College Grad Role at Oracle is designed for current students or recent graduates (BS/MS/PhD) who are looking to start their careers in the technology sector. This program is set to begin in June/July 2025 and is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, specifically in Redwood Shores and Pleasanton, California. The primary goal of this program is to attract and develop early-career talent who are eager to contribute to next-generation services and solutions within the Oracle Analytics Cloud organization. Participants will have the opportunity to work across multiple teams, enhancing their learning experience while building a professional network that can accelerate their career growth. Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) is recognized as a leading business analytics and business intelligence platform, offering a comprehensive suite of analytic and reporting capabilities. The platform is designed to provide enterprise-class performance, security, scalability, and manageability, along with innovative features in core analytics. OAC allows users to visualize, analyze, and explore data, creating consumable data products such as interactive dashboards and reports. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about solving complex problems through software development and are ready to engage in a dynamic, agile work environment. As a Software Engineer in the Oracle Analytics Cloud organization, you will be responsible for managing software development tasks related to the design, debugging, and development of enterprise-class software applications. You will work within a successful product development team, applying your knowledge of software development to support and provide solutions for various challenges. This position requires a strong commitment to quality and the ability to implement sophisticated algorithms and data structures in complex systems. Candidates should be prepared to engage in programs and initiatives that analyze root causes of issues and recommend effective solutions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing enterprise-class software applications.
  • Support, debug, and provide solutions within a highly successful product development team.
  • Engage in programs and initiatives to analyze the root cause of issues and recommend suitable solution approaches.
  • Solve enterprise-grade cloud services problems by writing code in a complex multi-tier distributed environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent science/engineering field by August 2025.
  • Proficient in Java and at least one additional programming language (C, C++, JavaScript, Python, SQL).
  • Ability to implement sophisticated algorithms and data structures in complex systems with high quality.
  • Completed coursework, projects, internships, or research in three or more technical areas such as Databases, Computer Systems, Linux/UNIX, Object Oriented Design, Operating Systems, or User Interface Design.
  • At least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience in relevant technical areas.
  • Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.
  • Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2025.
