You'll do the best work of your career right here at Comcast. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. You will edit new and existing applications, implement, test, and debug defined software components, and document all development activity. Working with moderate guidance in your area of knowledge, you will design and develop new software and web applications using Python and Golang. You will also work with databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure. Your core responsibilities will include designing and developing RESTful APIs, supporting applications under development, customizing current applications, and assisting with the software update process for existing applications. You will analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications, document all development activity, and research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports. Additionally, you will monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products, review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects, and collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. You will conduct analysis to determine integration needs and display in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills, and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty. You will also present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences and work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specifications and technical requirements.
