About the position
The Core Commerce Org at Recharge is responsible for essential services that support the business, including subscriptions, orders, customers, and more. This role focuses on maintaining and improving these services while building core features for merchants and their customers. The ideal candidate will take ownership of solution design and delivery, particularly in extending the Subscriptions and Rewards platforms, and will thrive in a collaborative, remote work environment.
Responsibilities
- Build high-impact, high-performance, high-scale products for development teams.
- Understand roadmap priorities and write frontend and/or backend code focused on scalability, testability, supportability, and maintainability.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using technical expertise.
- Debug production issues across the stack.
- Perform thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to cultivating a positive team environment.
- Demonstrate a willingness to lean in as needed when duty calls.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant full stack development experience, including back-end (Python, Node.js) and front-end (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
- Familiarity with micro-service architecture.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrable expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior e-commerce experience preferred.
