About the position

The Senior Software Engineer will be part of a dynamic team focused on developing a Command and Control capability for USCYBERCOM Cyber Mission Forces. This role involves creating RESTful APIs using modern technologies in a fast-paced, operational environment, contributing to critical cyber missions.

Responsibilities

• Develop RESTful APIs using Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Maven.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Data Scientists, User Experience Designers, and User Interface Developers.
• Work in a Linux cloud-based Containerized/Microservice Environment.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept to sustainment.
• Ensure interoperability across department, service, or cyberspace partners.

Requirements

• Experience with React, Javascript, Typescript, CSS, and JSON.
• Proficiency in RedHat Linux.
• Experience working in a CI/CD environment.
• Ability to refactor code effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working on a virtual team.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture (JCWA) capabilities.
• Experience in Cyber Operations, Mission Planning, Mission Analysis, and Mission Reporting.
• Background in real-world cyber operations.
