About The Position
KBR is seeking a Data Engineer to support one of our government customers in Chantilly, Virginia. The Data Engineer will utilize a diverse range of data-focused skills, experience, deep technical and analytical problem-solving, and team-centered solutions for complex problems to satisfy priority information-enabling operations. This position requires strong attributes for problem-solving, data analysis, troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and experimentation, often under time-sensitive decisions. The role involves performing signal analysis on Electro-Optical (EO) and Radio Frequency (RF) sources and providing recommendations on identifying trends for intelligence analysis. In this position, the Data Engineer will collaborate with scientists, physicists, engineers, program managers, and intelligence analysts to acquire a deep understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the space program of records and other space programs under the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DOD). The engineer will also be responsible for identifying and prioritizing intelligence gaps, coordinating with internal and external customers to facilitate requirements production, and developing collection management plans for technical collection activities. Additionally, the role includes researching emerging space and counterspace threats and creating, collaborating, and overseeing finished intelligence products concerning customer problem sets and assigned areas of responsibilities.
