About the position

The Software Engineer for the Data Product & Experimentation Platform at Notion will play a crucial role in developing systems, tools, and infrastructure that democratize data access and enable analytics capabilities across the organization. This position involves working cross-functionally with various teams to deliver impactful data-driven solutions, ensuring the performance and reliability of production systems while contributing to the company's mission of empowering users with innovative software tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop systems, tools, and infrastructure for data access and analytics capabilities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, Data Engineering, and AI teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Work on all levels of the stack, including infrastructure, libraries, and product code.
• Influence and execute the roadmap for data infrastructure and systems to support high-scale product features.
• Monitor and operate production systems, optimizing performance and evolving critical systems with minimal disruption.

Requirements

• Experience working on data or infrastructure-focused engineering teams.
• Ability to scale and re-architect data platforms and infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on understanding context.
• Business-oriented mindset, prioritizing projects based on impact.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical ideas clearly.

• Experience building and scaling data infrastructure at a fast-growing startup.
