About the position
Actalent is seeking to hire entry-level Software Engineers to work on innovative training and simulation product lines within the aviation industry. This role involves developing maintainable software and engaging in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, testing, and user support. The position offers some remote flexibility after initial onboarding and is ideal for candidates with strong project or internship experience in relevant technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software for training and simulation product lines.
- Implement features such as rendering, shading, lighting, load balancing, weather effects, animation, multi-threading, anti-aliasing, dynamic paging, and display interfaces.
- Extend and enhance next generation products.
- Engage in all facets of software development including communication, requirements assessment, research, design, development, testing, integration, peer review, documentation, maintenance, and end user support.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C++ or C#
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Understanding of object-oriented programming
- Knowledge of mathematical capability (matrix algebra, projective geometry, vector math)
- Knowledge of data structures
