About the position

Splunk is seeking new graduates or early career talent to join as Front-end Software Engineers. This role involves working on real projects that are brought to market, providing an opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, startup-like environment. The position focuses on developing software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams and receiving mentorship, all aimed at supporting personal growth and career development.

Responsibilities

  • Work on real projects that go to market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support internal and external customer needs.
  • Design, develop, code, and test software systems or applications for improvements and new products.
  • Build innovative solutions that enable rapid development.
  • Participate in agile development of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing, and ongoing support of systems.
  • Make recommendations for modifications to processes and procedures, contributing to best practices, architecture, and implementation.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong record of academic achievement.
  • Minimum 6 months relevant work or internship experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong interest in front-end/UI development.
  • Familiarity with frontend JavaScript technologies including React/Redux (nice to have: Typescript, jQuery, Backbone).
  • Exposure to styling web applications using CSS.
  • Experience with modern version control systems, such as Git.
  • Exposure to test automation tools, such as Karma, Mocha, Jest, Storybook, etc.
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes.
  • Experience building meaningful software applications in various contexts (class, personal hobby, job, open source project).
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
