About the position

The Frontend Vision Systems Software Engineer at Tesla will be part of the Factory Software team, focusing on developing scalable software solutions for manufacturing operations. This role involves building a next-generation in-house computer vision and machine learning platform, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance user experience and ensure the reliability of software systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop new user interfaces and interaction models using Typescript, React, and NextJs.
• Implement a consistent design language across Tesla's software solutions.
• Create software solutions for highly available and mission-critical applications integrated into enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, software engineers, and product managers to design and implement user experience features.
• Promote usability and accessibility in all features developed.
• Own the development process from design to production, working closely with customers, product managers, QA engineers, and release engineers.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in building responsive web applications using React/NextJs or similar technologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, Typescript, React, NextJs, and WebGL (Three.JS).
• Familiarity with REST and GraphQL for frontend-backend communication.
• Experience with visualization tools using SVG, ThreeJS, or game engines is a plus.
• Experience in mobile/hybrid app development is a plus.
• Experience in end-to-end integration with backend systems is preferred.
• Experience in backend development and databases, preferably Golang and MySQL.
• Knowledge of machine learning, computer vision, or neural networks is a plus.
