About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer for GCP Solution Design & Automation. This role involves designing and implementing moderately complex initiatives within Google Cloud, contributing to large-scale planning, and resolving technical challenges while leading a team to meet client needs. The position requires collaboration with peers and mid-level managers to achieve goals and provide guidance to less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Google Cloud.
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 2+ years hands-on with GCP.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with Sentinel.
• Strong verbal and visual presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• GCP IAM, Networking, or GKE experience.
• Design Thinking.
