Software Engineer, Google Cloud

Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE) provides a next generation cloud infrastructure service with a focus on enterprise workloads. The service is designed to deploy and manage workloads in a software defined data center within Google cloud that hosts both third-party hardware as well as native Google hardware. In this role, you will help to drive and build a cloud native intelligent solution for distributed platform. Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build, test and roll out control plan for GCVE.
• Monitor and support customer onboarding and order management.
• Own compliance problems across the stack to ensure GCVE's commitments are met.
• Be on a call rotation to help triage/troubleshoot issues in the production environment as needed.
• Oversee control plane for GCVE (Vmware stack, (VCF) server, storage, networking, etc.).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++ or Python).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in coding projects including distributed systems in Go or Python.
• Knowledge of Compute, Storage and Networking concepts.
