The Hardware Engineering team at Waymo is a diverse, innovative, and collaborative group of electrical, mechanical, reliability, software, and vehicle engineers. This team is responsible for designing, building, and perfecting the products that serve as the eyes and ears of Waymo's autonomous driving technology, integrating these products into various vehicle platforms. We are seeking curious and talented teammates to help us continue moving in the right direction. In this hybrid role, you will report to a Staff Software Engineer and will be responsible for developing high-quality software (C++) for embedded systems (microcontrollers) and for both on-vehicle and off-vehicle software to integrate and manage autonomous vehicle functions such as auto-driving, power, networking, cleaning, and thermal management. You will also analyze field data (logs) and simulation results, and participate in cross-functional workflows including requirement reviews and project planning.
