We are looking for a highly motivated team member to join our Airborne Information Solutions group in Cedar Rapids, IA, where you will work on a collaborative team developing state-of-the-art embedded Linux software solutions. In this role, you will develop, own, maintain, and enhance our development infrastructure using DevOps methodologies. You will collaborate with FPGA, hardware, systems, and software teams to seamlessly embed our advanced technology into our communications product portfolio. Our embedded software and test solutions support commercial customers such as Airbus and Boeing, as well as various US government projects. In this position, you will design, develop, and continuously enhance our customized Linux OS ecosystem, maintaining ownership over areas such as build toolchain, kernel, root filesystem, bootloader, device drivers, and Board Support Packages (BSP) for a variety of hardware boards. You will contribute to the design, coding, testing, delivery, and ongoing support for embedded Linux software and drivers. Additionally, you will prepare software builds for execution in simulation environments, reference platforms, and on target hardware, as well as develop embedded test solutions that support hardware qualification activities. You will apply industry best practices to assist programs with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of DevOps solutions, and support software tool customization and automation, including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to meet program needs. This role offers the opportunity to learn about the embedded Linux OS ecosystem lifecycle and embedded test solutions, utilizing company processes and policies regarding open-source content and third-party intellectual property. You will continuously develop DevOps skillsets applicable to various physical and virtual infrastructures, and gain insights into the connectivity and secure networking technologies that are essential for maintaining leadership in the avionics industry.
