About the position

Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a .Net Developer to join our growing team. In this role you will be on site at the Washington DC office 5 times per pay cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Work with client to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements for the application.
  • Participate in the entire software development life cycle, architecting, debugging applications, and configuring existing systems.
  • Participate in the entire software development life cycle, including application design, coding, unit testing, integration, and configuration to seamlessly fit with the operation of the application written using C#/.Net technologies.
  • Communicates effectively with end users, team lead, and team members.
  • Work with the client on prioritization of the development backlog and release planning.
  • Analyze system requirements and prioritize tasks.
  • Design, build, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C#.Net code.
  • Test and debug various .NET applications

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Full-stack development experience, from concept to UI and back-end implementation.
  • 2+ years of in-depth working knowledge of ASP.NET Core using C#.NET, HTML5, CSS, MS SQL Server, and Identity.
  • 1+ year of experience with Agile methodology and eXtreme Programming best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD, and pair programming.
  • 1+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
  • Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps Server.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Server and IIS management.
  • Experience or knowledge of building interfaces in compliance with Section 508, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and Web Accessibility Initiative - Accessible Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA) standards.
  • Knowledge of implementing security best practices at the application development and hosting layers.
  • Experience with a distributed version control system like GIT and SVN.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and experience with Azure DevOps Server for automated builds.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure platforms.
  • Excellent client communication skills.
  • Candidates MUST be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.
  • Hybrid role requires 5 days onsite each pay period (Washington DC client site).
