About the position
The Software Engineer II, ServiceNow is responsible for developing and maintaining code within the ServiceNow platform to implement new capabilities and features, enhance performance, and ensure maintainability. This role involves collaborating with team members to conceptualize software engineering outcomes, providing technical support, and managing enhancements to improve business performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain code within ServiceNow to implement new capabilities and features.
- Participate in design and development discussions to conceptualize desired outcomes.
- Assist in estimating features and elements in terms of technical input, resources, time, and anticipated outcomes.
- Provide technical support, including troubleshooting and enhancements for existing and new functionalities.
- Document processes to capture best practices and ensure repeatability.
- Communicate updates, challenges, and concerns to team members, managers, product owners, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
- Design, code, test, correct, and document ServiceNow scripts, workflows, triggers, and actions based on agreed specifications and standards.
- Participate in reviews of their work and lead reviews of colleagues' work.
- Manage ServiceNow enhancements to improve business performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide Scripting, and API development.
- Experience with Agile application development practices.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Nice-to-haves
- ServiceNow Micro or Implementation Certifications.
- Agile Certifications.
