About the position

The Software Engineer II position at Incident IQ involves joining a dynamic team to develop and enhance features for a cloud-based SaaS application tailored for K-12 schools. The role requires a strong background in C#.NET and web application development, contributing to a collaborative environment focused on customer success and operational efficiency in educational settings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new features and enhance existing functionalities of the SaaS application.
  • Collaborate with a team of Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, a Designer, and a Product Owner.
  • Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following best practices.
  • Debug complex issues and optimize performance of the application.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience building Web Applications.
  • Strong understanding of C# syntax and features, including LINQ, async/await, and generics.
  • Experience with .NET Core and .NET 5/6+.
  • Experience with writing and consuming RESTful services using Web API.
  • Experience working with ORM for database interactions.
  • Strong understanding of ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core MVC for web application development.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and client-side frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
  • Experience of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • Proficiency with development tools like Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
  • Experience with build and deployment tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
  • Experience with architectural patterns like MVC, MVVM, and Dependency Injection.
