About the position

As a Software Engineer II at FIS Global, you will be responsible for managing and supporting API Gateway infrastructures, troubleshooting issues, and deploying the API Management platform in a cloud environment. This role requires strong ownership and drive, as you will interact with engineering groups to design software changes and enhance the API pipeline scripts for efficient API publishing.

Responsibilities

• Designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements.
• Interacting with product managers and users to define requirements and modifications.
• Managing and supporting API Gateway infrastructure on-premises.
• Installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting issues reported in the API Gateway platform.
• Enhancing API pipeline scripts to support a large number of API publishing into the API gateway platform.
• Creating and monitoring alerts on Splunk and alerting tools.
• Participating in performance tuning activities and looking for opportunities to improve platform performance.

Requirements

• Total of 3-5 years of industry experience with a minimum of 1 year of experience in API Management platform publishing and implementation support.
• Experience with any API Gateway Management Platform (e.g., Wso2, Apigee, MuleSoft, CA Layer 7), with a preference for Wso2 API Manager.
• Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards.
• Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations, and operations.
• Fluency in sequence diagrams, class models, etc.
• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines.
• A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
