About the position

As a Software Engineer III in AI/ML at Google Cloud, you will be responsible for developing next-generation technologies that enhance how users connect and interact with information. This role involves working on critical projects that require versatility and leadership, with opportunities to switch teams and tackle new challenges across the full-stack. You will contribute to the development of enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google's advanced technology, focusing on machine learning infrastructure and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure best practices.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt it based on updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them by analyzing sources of issues and their impact.
• Implement solutions in specialized ML areas, utilize ML infrastructure, and contribute to model optimization and data processing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 1 year of experience with speech/audio technology, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure, including model deployment, evaluation, optimization, and debugging.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
