About the position

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector Risk Technology team, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering advanced technology data products. This position requires you to leverage your expertise in software engineering to develop secure, stable, and scalable solutions that support the firm's business objectives. You will be part of an agile team, responsible for executing software solutions, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of software applications and systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Create secure and high-quality production code.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex data applications.
• Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets.
• Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience.
• Strong experience in Big Data development and ETL data pipeline implementation.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Strong development experience in Java and Python.
• Experience in AWS technologies like EMR, ECS, Lambdas, APIs, Redshift, S3, Athena, RDS, or Opensearch.
• Experience in Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.

Nice-to-haves

• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
• AWS Certification.
