About the position

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Banking team, you will be a key member of an agile team responsible for designing and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products. This role involves executing critical technology solutions across various business functions to support the firm's objectives, while fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with innovative approaches to build solutions or resolve technical problems.
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contributes to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Collaborates effectively in large, geographically distributed teams to achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
  • Exposure to Public or Private cloud-based development.
  • Familiarity with Containerization and Microservices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Full stack developer with proven experience in building scalable and robust applications.
  • Strong technical knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft .NET/.NET Core framework and C# coding.
  • Strong object-oriented design skills and familiarity with advanced design patterns and practices.
  • Strong SQL Server application development skills.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, IIS, and LDAP.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like Angular / React.
