Software Engineer III (Front-End)

About the position

As a Software Engineer III at Walmart Global Tech, you will be responsible for translating requirements into effective solutions, writing code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will oversee small project teams, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, while focusing on creating reusable technologies that enhance customer acquisition and onboarding. Your role will involve optimizing tariffs and assortment to align with Walmart's Everyday Low Cost philosophy, ultimately delivering customized experiences across various channels.

Requirements

• Over 3+ years of professional experience as a hands-on Frontend Developer.
• Expert in developing Web Applications with React and related technologies.
• Knowledge and practical experience with Storybook component library for efficient UI development and documentation.
• Proficient in JavaScript, React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience in styling frameworks, including SCSS and CSS, for responsive design.
• Skilled in unit testing with Jest and integration/end-to-end testing with Cypress.
• Experience working with GraphQL services and RESTful APIs.
• Familiar with OOP design principles and component-driven development.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a highly analytical mindset.
• Effective team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret, follow, and implement technical plans and design requirements.
• Knowledgeable in CI/CD processes, version control, and agile workflows.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and accessibility best practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Understanding of backend fundamentals with experience in Java/Spring Boot.
• Background in creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.
