About the position

The Mobile Developer position at Walmart Global Tech focuses on building and enhancing mobile applications using React Native. The role is part of the Data Ventures team, which is dedicated to developing innovative data products that provide actionable insights for merchants and suppliers. The developer will contribute to the Luminate product line, leveraging data science to improve customer experiences and business decisions. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to define best practices and drive mobile development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Help define Mobile Development and React Native best practices
  • Proficient in React Native App Development, including experience with HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, Jest, Redux, NodeJS, JSON, Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java, Android Studio, XCode
  • Proficient understanding of mobile development lifecycle
  • Proficient with designing, building, and consuming APIs
  • Proficient with event-driven architecture
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies like Azure and GCP
  • Extensive knowledge of open-source libraries, design patterns, and micro-service architecture
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and unit testing
  • Experience in production system operations (logging, telemetry, alerting etc.)
  • Support business objectives by collaborating with business partners to identify opportunities and drive resolution
  • Partner with business to define priorities and user acceptance criteria
  • Identify short- and long-term solutions; and lead cross-functional partnership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 1 years' experience in software engineering or related field OR 4 years' experience in software engineering or related field
  • Technically strong in understanding/building mobile applications with React Native
  • Experience and good understanding of software at API and webservice level
  • Strong prior experience in mobile development technologies such as React Native, Android Studio, XCode or equivalent technologies
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Good understanding of client and server-side JavaScript frameworks - React.js
  • Experience with .NET C#

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences
  • Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and integrating digital accessibility
