About the position

Nightwing is seeking a Software Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities. This role involves working on a large mission-critical development and sustainment program for a U.S. Government customer, focusing on creating and enhancing cybersecurity systems for both on-prem and cloud-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Developing security systems for manual and automated systems environments, including on-prem and cloud-based systems.
• Collaborating with vendors to design, evaluate, and architect secure GOTS/COTS applications, operating systems, networks, and databases.
• Ensuring the protection of organizational data against unauthorized disclosure and loss.
• Troubleshooting complex security challenges and issues.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Secret clearance; must be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance (preferred) and DHS Suitability.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java development and related technologies.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile software development.
• Experience with SecureSphere Imperva Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Database Activity Monitoring (DAM).
• Experience securing network traffic via AWS API Gateway and AWS Application Load Balancers.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of Cloud DevOps Administrative or Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Network Security Identity Management tools.
• Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CISSP, Security+, and others related to Agile development.
