About the position

The Software Engineer in Test position is focused on ensuring the quality and performance of software applications through various testing methodologies. The role requires a strong background in UI and API testing, as well as experience with IVR testing. The candidate will work within an agile environment, collaborating with multiple functional groups to enhance the overall quality process and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct UI testing and API testing to ensure software quality.
• Perform Web Services testing and IVR testing as required.
• Utilize test automation tools, with a preference for Empirix Hammer/CallMaster.
• Analyze client-specific system requirements and scope of services for testability.
• Review and enhance scripts/code to improve testing processes.
• Collaborate with functional groups to identify improvements in the quality process.
• Adhere to deliverables in the sprint schedule and agile methodology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
• Solid experience in UI testing and API testing.
• Proficiency in SQL, XML/VXML, HTML, JavaScript, and Java.
• Experience with agile methodology and tools such as JIRA.
• Ability to analyze functional and technical system designs for testability.
• Strong technical skills and ability to manipulate test data for complex projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Empirix/Hammer testing tools.
• Knowledge of functional testing, automated testing, performance testing, and chaos testing.
• Experience in application cloud migration and management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD implementation and security testing.
