About the position

The Software Engineer in Test (SDET) role at Dexian involves developing and maintaining automation frameworks for UI and API testing in a fast-paced Agile environment. The position requires expertise in various automation tools and methodologies, with a focus on collaboration and communication across teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an automation framework in a large enterprise environment using tools like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or Protractor.
• Develop and execute automated and manual test cases for Angular/Vue based UI and RESTful web services.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to investigate, isolate, and solve technical issues across the technology stack.
• Utilize CI/CD tools and practices to integrate test automation into deployment pipelines.
• Craft, develop, and maintain test plans and test cases based on business requirements.
• Participate in Agile Scrum processes and contribute to team goals as a T-shaped squad member.
• Work with code quality and coverage tools such as Sonar or equivalent.
• Engage in accessibility testing as needed.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional Testing/Development experience involving UI and API Automation.
• Experience building and maintaining an automation framework in a large enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript with Cucumber/BDD.
• Experience in a DevOps environment with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git/Bitbucket Server.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly matrix environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Accessibility testing.
• Familiarity with Code Quality/Coverage Tools (Sonar or equivalent).
• A desire to learn innovative technologies.
