About the position
The Software Engineer in Test will be a key member of a scrum team, responsible for contributing to the QA automation strategy for applications. This role focuses on enabling rapid delivery of key customer features through collaboration with engineering and business colleagues, defining acceptance criteria, and ensuring that applications are ready for release through comprehensive testing.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the QA automation strategy for applications.
- Collaborate with engineering and business colleagues to define acceptance criteria and derive release testing requirements.
- Design, implement, and complete functional and regression test cases/suites.
- Reproduce, debug, and isolate problems and verify fixes.
- Develop minor application features in Java.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in software quality engineering.
- Experience creating test automation solutions using tools such as Selenium.
- Proficient in Java or equivalent software languages.
- Good level of SQL and database knowledge.
- Familiar with Spring/Spring Boot and RESTful services.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and practices.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with continuous integration practices and automated deployment tools.
- Understanding of all aspects of testing (unit testing, integration testing, acceptance testing, etc.).
- Ability to resolve issues proactively and identify approaches to solutions.
