About the position

The Software Engineer in Test position is a contract role based in Merrimack, New Hampshire, focusing on ensuring the quality of software through various testing methodologies. The role requires a strong background in UI and API testing, as well as experience with automated testing and performance testing. The candidate will work closely with multiple functional groups to enhance the overall quality process and will be involved in the software development lifecycle, from planning to problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Conduct UI testing and API testing to ensure software quality.
• Perform functional testing, automated testing, performance testing, and chaos testing.
• Engage in application cloud migration and management.
• Implement CI/CD processes and security testing.
• Review and analyze client-specific system requirements and scope of services.
• Analyze functional and technical system designs for testability.
• Mine and manipulate test data to support test cases for complex projects.
• Collaborate with multiple functional groups to identify improvements in the quality process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
• Solid experience in UI testing and API testing.
• Experience with Web Services testing and IVR Testing.
• Familiarity with agile methodology and tools such as JIRA.
• Proficiency in SQL, XML/VXML, HTML, JavaScript, Java, and Visual Basic.
• Ability to read and enhance scripts/code.
• Strong understanding of the software development process.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Empirix/Hammer testing tools is a plus.
• Prior telecom experience or experience in testing IVR applications.
