About the position

The Software Engineer Intern position at Oracle is designed for current students pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. This internship is an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in software development within the Oracle Analytics Cloud organization. The internship is available for two distinct periods: from May 19 to August 8, 2025, and from June 16 to September 5, 2025, with work locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, specifically Redwood Shores, CA, and Pleasanton, CA. As part of the Oracle Analytics Cloud team, interns will engage in a dynamic learning environment that emphasizes collaboration and innovation. The Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) is a leading business analytics and business intelligence platform that provides a comprehensive suite of analytic and reporting capabilities. Interns will have the chance to work on enterprise-class software applications, contributing to the development, debugging, and design processes. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about solving complex problems through coding and are eager to learn from experienced professionals in a fast-paced, agile setting. Interns will be expected to apply their knowledge of software development to manage tasks related to the creation and maintenance of software applications. Responsibilities

  • Manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing enterprise-class software applications.
  • Support debugging efforts and provide solutions to software issues.
  • Engage in programs and initiatives to analyze the root cause of issues and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Work within a highly successful product development team in an agile, iterative process.
  • Apply knowledge of software development to solve enterprise-grade cloud services problems.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent science/engineering field.
  • Returning to the program after completion of the internship.
  • Completed at least sophomore year toward the undergraduate degree by summer 2024.
  • Proficient in Java and at least one additional programming language (C, C++, JavaScript, Python, SQL).
  • Ability to implement sophisticated algorithms and data structures in complex systems.
  • Completed academic, professional, or personal projects in two or more technical areas such as Databases, Computer Systems, Linux/UNIX, Object Oriented Design, Operating Systems, or User Interface Design.

Nice-to-haves
