About the position

The Software Engineer Intern position at Oracle Analytics Cloud is designed for current students pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. This internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading business analytics and business intelligence platform. The internship will take place in the San Francisco Bay Area, with available dates from May 19 to August 8, 2025, and June 16 to September 5, 2025. The program aims to enhance the learning experience of interns, build their professional network, and accelerate their career opportunities within the organization. As part of the Oracle Analytics Cloud team, interns will engage in software development tasks that involve developing, debugging, and designing enterprise-class software applications. Interns will work within a highly successful product development team, utilizing an agile and iterative process to support and debug software solutions. The role emphasizes problem-solving through coding, particularly in complex multi-tier distributed environments. Interns will have the chance to analyze root causes of issues and recommend suitable solutions in a time-sensitive manner, contributing to the overall success of the Oracle Analytics Cloud platform. Responsibilities

  • Manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing enterprise-class software applications.
  • Support, debug, and provide solutions within a product development team.
  • Engage in programs and initiatives to analyze the root cause of issues and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Solve enterprise-grade cloud services problems by writing code.
  • Work within a highly successful product development team using an agile, iterative process.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent science/engineering field.
  • Returning to the program after completion of the internship.
  • Completed at least sophomore year toward the undergraduate degree by summer 2024.
  • Proficient in Java and at least one additional programming language (C, C++, JavaScript, Python, SQL).
  • Ability to implement sophisticated algorithms and data structures in complex systems.
  • Completed academic/professional/personal projects or research in two or more technical areas such as Databases, Computer Systems, Linux/UNIX, Object Oriented Design, Operating Systems, or User Interface Design.
