Software Engineer Intern - ISP Platform

About the position

The Software Engineer Intern position at Viasat focuses on developing back office functionality for the ISP Platform, which facilitates WiFi purchases and connections to the Viasat satellite network on airplanes. Interns will work alongside a specialized team in Order/Offer management, following industry-standard software development processes, and their contributions will directly impact ongoing operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop a project alongside a team specializing in Order/Offer management aspects of the ISP Platform.
• Immerse yourself in complex cloud infrastructure.
• Become familiar with various Python and GO APIs.
• Write software to build, automate, and improve various systems.
• Write automated tests to verify new features and functionality.
• Use GitHub Actions and Jenkins to achieve full CI/CD.
• Design, document, and implement new features.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Final graduation date must fall between December 2025 and June 2026.
• Experience with Python or proficient experience with at least 2 object-oriented languages.
• U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident Status.
