About the position
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2025. This role involves supporting the software engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, object-oriented analysis and design, coding, unit testing, integration, and formal testing support. The position is designed for students pursuing degrees in relevant fields, providing an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the software engineering lifecycle following the Software Development Plan (SDP).
- Conduct requirements analysis and object-oriented analysis & design.
- Write code and perform unit testing.
- Assist in integration and support formal testing and delivery.
Requirements
- Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college/university.
- Must be a US Citizen; this position requires a government security clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Agile Software Development.
- Experience or classroom knowledge with embedded software/hardware.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
